Today marks Day 1 of our sweet little biz going public and there are plenty of emotions scrambling around in my head or is it in my tummy!

Today, I posted properly on my new Instagram and Facebook pages, they go hand in hand and having Facebook is a must it seems for advertising.

Big L plates are on, they are kind of a big orange colour on my back. I am and we are all imperfectly perfect, I really love this saying today and I am owning it. There will be many mistakes made and that's how we learn.

My background for the last 25+ years has been in the trenches of small business with my husband.

We have been very successful working together in the steel industry. I truly understand people in the small business industry you wear a lot of hats and manage a lot of stress. I also truly understand what it's like being in business with your partner. Not everyone can do it, I have found you need defined roles in the business.

Most small business fail in the first five years. It's a really daunting thought so that's when you're planning must come into play. I have seen business's fall over in the first year of trading like the guy who bought our steel fabrication business it was awful seeing all the machinery we had bought go to auction. To see any business go under is horrible, you only have to receive the daily emails to see the masses of businesses that go into liquidation. By subscribing to this email (I still do it today) it keeps me up to date and aware of any client's that may come up on that list for 'restructuring'. Generally one does get notified by the administrators in advance. 

Oh it seems I have gone down a rabbit hole of doom and gloom, however, it just brings me to the fact that one must plan and keep planning. This sweet little biz has been in the planning for about 6 months or so. Plenty more to do and plenty more to settle into.
